Cottage Cheese and burns

2007-07-31 16:12:00

[INLINE] Miz Judy has got to do what this girl is telling me. And then get herself very busy here today on a good healthy subject.
And soon as I send this I'm going to be out of here a few hours knitting.

Question: someone once wrote to a list ( groups) I was using, stating that cottage cheese had been used for healing burns. I've wrecked my brain now for months, just trying to find where we might be able to read about this.

Do any of you know if this is true in your family? I'd say it had to go back to at least the depression time, when some medications were that of home remedies. It had to be cottage cheese, that was made in the kitchen, long before store-bought could be purchased.

If any one of you nurses and doctor's have medical data on this subject please share. I'd more than appreciate it.

Miz Judy

Also, Shark Liver Oil works exceptionally well to help increase Bone Marrow production and differentiation. It's possible
he has a viral infection (hhv6) which destroys bone marrow cells also, which we would rule out clinically also. Check out hhv6.com
for more info. Liquid chlorophyll from the healthfood store or internet is helpful also as well as a supplement as a blood builder serum
from Switzerland called Hematix I believe also...

Hello David

I'm a doctor here in England so maybe you will follow what I am now going to tell you.

Get your father to eat about3/4 ounces of Pumpkin seed a day and to make sure that he drinks a glass of orange juice at the same time. The seeds are packed full of iron and and the rate of uptake of the iron from the seeds can be increased 3 fold with the help of the Vitamin C in the juice.

Let me know how he's getting along in a month.

I know there are a lot of choices out there. As I said previously, if it was my mother, with what I know today, FO/CC and enzymes would be my primary modes to treat her with diet secondary.

I would have her taking at least 6 tablespoons of flaxseed oil with at least 1 cup of low-fat cottage cheese every day. I would space this out over 2-4 servings during the day.

I would also have her taking a minimum of a dozen enzymes daily, with each serving of food, unless when eating RAW fruits or vegetables and in between eating.

A relatively strict vegetarian diet, except for cottage cheese, would also be mandated.

Thank you for the message. I am so desperate. Today they told me they could not operate. My family is on fire. Truly hell could not compare to how I feel every minute of the day. My wonderful Father is so strong, and I feel so week. Please if there is any truly successful alternatives let me know. We put him on a strict vegetarian diet with juicing, and I'm ordering Dr. Kelly's enzymes and protocols this week. I will break the veg. diet for the CC, I don't want to take any chances. Please tell me what you know.

Lupron shots

2007-07-30 20:37:30

Hi,
Actually, I had Lupron shots every month fro 4 years and 7 months ending on
October 13, 1995.
In the Six years and three months since then I have had just four monthly
shots, two last year in Sept and October and two this year in November and
December. I would have to check my records on the last one but I think that
is right.
The Flaxseed Oil was the main gun in the rest of the 6 years and 3 months.

Lupron

2007-07-30 07:11:30

Hi,
Lupron is a drug that is given as a shot. Nothing is like it that is in a
pill or oral form. It blocks the production of Testosterone in men.
Prostate cancer is not caused by Testosterone but Testosterone feeds it. If
Tesosterone can be shut off than a lot of the strains of Prostate cancer
die.
Thus the cancer activity is lessened and the PSA is lowered.

Flavored Flaxseed oil

2007-07-29 16:40:31

I would rather buy plain flaxseed oil and flavour it myself.
Wilhelm..
I believe this would be wise suggestion. Often times we camouflage foods, and not even get the true flavor. And if this flavored flax oil is flavors of masked substance; again are we positive it isn't so fake ( artificial it will cause more complications) we have to ask ourselves, where did they get the garlic an the spices from? Was it grown without pesticides, and sent off to some lab/to have heaven knows what applied to it?
The nutritional benefits may be stated in the ads or on the bottle so that the public will fall for it and naturally buy it, thinking it is the best thing on the market. And I still say if it too, don't come from a reliable source like Barleans, I'd want nothing to do with it. Has anyone ever checked into Barleans to see if they sell the enriched flavors?

I think a person could flavor their own and also save themselves some money this way..and at the same time feel safer in using what they themselves mix together. It certainly don't take that many more minutes to still in some crushed garlic, fruits, etc.

pathetic show on ABC last night

2007-07-29 05:12:16

Just wanted to hear others views about a pathetic show on ABC last night. I didn't catch the name of the show. They put down, BIG TIME, alternative therapies for cancer, and made a big mockery out of it. Especially hard hit were the cancer clinics in Mexico. They must have had some big bucks backing that show last night, from the AMA and the pharmaceutical "drug cartels".

Oh how wonderful chemotherapy are for you and radiation and so on, and to hell with all the alternative forms of healing cancer. I was so upset after I saw that show!

I am entitled to my opinion and they theirs, but they mislead I wonder how many million viewers? How sad!

Re: [FlaxSeedOil2] How to boost haemoglobin levels?

2007-07-28 19:46:55

David, I have an uncle that has the same thing you are talking about here
that your dad has. Uncle Joe is in his 90's and still going! I talked him
into getting on the flax oil and cottage cheese about 2 years ago, when he
first found out what he had. His hemoglobin level was about 5 or 6, at the
most. He had been on the flax oil for one month, and went back to the dr.
His hemoglobin level had gone up about to 11! The dr sent him home and told
him to keep up whatever it was that he was doing. (He didn't tell the doc
what he was on.) He didn't do the chemo, and stayed on the flax oil for
about another month or 2. Then he got to the point where he would puke just
thinking about eating it again, so he quit. His wife even made him shakes
and dressed it up really well, but he KNEW what it was, so he refused it.
Remarkably, he is still alive and I think he has had a few rounds of very
mild chemo. He's doing great.
This is just what I have seen happen with the only person that I know that
has had this disease. I'll pray that you can get all the right things to
make your father well again. It can be done!

Melanie

2007-07-28 05:20:08

Hi,
I have just had another PSA. It is down to 3.8. Seven weeks ago it was
7.4 and seven weeks or so before that it was 31.+
The main reason for the drop was two 28 day shots of Lupron. I decided to
knock it down again and start over.
Of course, I was using 3 tablespoons of FO/CC per day except for 10 days
prior to getting blood taken for an EFA analysis test from Smoky Mountain
Diagnostic Lab in Ashville, SC.
That is complicated but I found that my diet, watching sources of Omega 6,
gives me a ratio of 1 Omega 3 to 4 and1/2 Omega 6. It should be a ratio of
1 to 3 and 1 to 2 is better than 1 to 4.
I will go with 4 tablespoons of FO/CC per day from now on.
The use of 3 tablespoons of seeds ground will be the equivalent of one
tablespoon of oil but more than that , according to Dr. Budwig, may be
dangerous. Perhaps they have a precursor of cyanide which might be harmful
with prolonged use of more than that amount.
I am glad I had used this 7 years before learning of the warnings. By that
time I had seen a number of men do very well with the FO/CC and I had no
evidence of "PCa growing faster". To this day I have seen no real evidence
of that. Had I known of those warnings in the beginning I would not have
used it and years ago fulfilled the prophecy indicated in the first line of
an old song, "I will soon be with the angels in that bright and happy land".
However, 3 tablespoons of ground flaxseed, if fighting anything serious,
would be like shooting a Rhinocerous with a BB gun in my experience.
Overall, In January of 1191 I was dxd with advanced PCa at age 69. I had a
PSA of 75 and it had metastasized to the lymph glands but not the bones. At
that time the the hospital lab where I was tested did not do Gleason scores
but the Doctor told me recently it would be in the 7-8 range.
Two years later The Uroligist told me that "You are one of the lucky ones.
Most men with the condition you had don't make it six months.
A few weeks ago this doctor told me that he hadn't kept close contact since
I had decided to go my own way but he said that I was doing well, looked
great and he couldn't argue with what I had been doing.
I am now 80 years and 3 weeks old. Right now tests are normal.
I am going to use for the next 6 weeks:
4 Tablespoons of FO/CC
Alpha Lipoic Acid
Green Tea
3000 mg beta glucan
9000 mg vitamin C
In August of '94, while still on Lupron, the PSA began doubling every w
months.
I was using some FO/CC.
I quit the Lupron on Oct. 13 1995. The only treatment I have done since
then, 6 years and three months was various combinations of FO/CC and some
enzymes plus 4 28 day shots of Lupron.
If the only reason why I am where I am today is that four shots of Lupron it
is truly wonderful stuff.
I would be happy to forward my history to anyone who would like it.
I am realizing more and more that the result of anything anyone does is
affected by a lot of factors, including the various degrees of
aggressiveness of the 30 or more strains of PCa.
I just read where Leibowicz is not having universal success with
Intermittent Blockade where there is aggressive cancers
Over 11 years other mutations could have occurred. Mine may be more
aggressive now than at the beginning. Anyway, we are learning.

oregano and garlic

2007-07-27 01:29:41

From website::::
http://www.mercola.com/2002/jan/23/herbs.htm
Herbs Rich Source of Healthy Antioxidants; Oregano
Ranks Highest
Better health may be only a dash and sprinkle away:
Researchers with the U.S. Department of Agriculture
have found that herbs, in addition to making food
tastier, are an abundant source of antioxidants and
could provide potential anticancer benefits when
supplementing a balanced diet.
Herbs have higher antioxidant activity than fruits,
vegetables and some spices, including garlic, the
researchers say. Some herbs should be considered as
regular vegetables. People should use more herbs for
flavoring instead of salt and artificial chemicals.
In what may be good news for pizza lovers and Italian
food connoisseurs everywhere, the herbs with the
highest antioxidant activity belonged to the oregano
family. In general, oregano had 3 to 20 times higher
antioxidant activity than the other herbs studied.
On a per gram fresh weight basis, oregano and other
herbs ranked even higher in antioxidant activity than
fruits and vegetables, which are known to be high in
antioxidants. In comparison to the antioxidant
activities of a few select fruits and vegetables, the
potency of oregano ranks supreme: Oregano has 42 times
more antioxidant activity than apples, 30 times more
than potatoes, 12 times more than oranges and 4 times
more than blueberries.
For example, one tablespoon of fresh oregano contains
the same antioxidant activity as one medium-sized
apple, she says.
Adding a moderate amount of herbs may go a long way
toward boosting the health value of a meal, especially
as an alternative to salt and artificial additives.
Even if you're not into oregano, other herbs also
appear to pack a significant antioxidant punch. Among
the more familiar, ranked in order, are dill, garden
thyme, rosemary and peppermint.
The most active phenol component in some of the herbs
with the highest antioxidant activity, particularly
oregano, was rosmarinic acid, a strong antioxidant.
Antioxidants have become synonymous with good health.
They are a class of compounds thought to prevent
certain types of chemical damage caused by an excess
of free radicals, charged molecules that are generated
by a variety of sources including pesticides, smoking
and exhaust fumes. Destroying free radicals may help
fight cancer, heart disease and stroke, researchers
believe.
Fruits and vegetables have long been viewed as a rich
source of antioxidant compounds. Health officials have
been urging consumers for years to eat more fruits and
vegetables in order to gain the health benefits of
antioxidants, but progress has been slow, according to
researchers.
More recently, researchers have begun to formally
study the health benefits of herbs and spices. The two
differ mainly by source. Herbs typically come from the
leaves of plants. Spices come from the bark, stem and
seeds of plants. Both have been used for thousands of
years to flavor foods and treat illness.
Now, herbs have emerged as a quick and easy way to get
a concentrated source of antioxidants - without all
the extra calories of whole foods.
Herbs can be consumed in a variety of ways. Some
people prefer to drink herb extracts, which can be
made by adding herbs to hot water to make potent
antioxidant teas. Others use concentrated herbal oils
available in some health food stories. Most of us
prefer a little dash and sprinkle of the familiar
leafy or powdered versions to add flavor to our
favorite meats and vegetables.
In general, fresh herbs and spices are healthier and
contain higher antioxidant levels compared to their
processed counterparts. For example, the antioxidant
activity of fresh garlic is 1.5 times higher than dry
garlic powder.
Just as consuming too much of any food product can
carry health risks, herbs should be used with
moderation.
Whatever form they take, herbs are no substitute for a
balanced diet. Pregnant women in particular should
consult their physicians before taking herbal
supplements.

Oxidized lipids in the diet are a source of oxidized lipid in chylomicrons of human serum.

2007-07-26 10:10:26

Hi All,
After reading this and knowing that high temperature frying generates oxidized
fatty acids in the frying oil / fat, do
you still think you are doing your body a service eating fried food? I think
not....................
If you still need to eat fried food, do it in virgin coconut oil as this is the
least heat effected oil.
Note well the conclusions of the study:
"These data demonstrate that in humans dietary oxidized lipids are absorbed by
the small intestine, incorporated into
chylomicrons, and appear in the bloodstream, where they contribute to the total

We examined whether oxidized lipids in the diet determine the levels of oxidized
lipid in human postprandial serum
chylomicrons.
After we fed subjects control corn oil containing low quantities of oxidized
lipid, the levels of conjugated dienes in
the chylomicron fraction were low (9.67 +/- 0.92 nmol/mumol triglyceride), and
no thiobarbituric acid-reactive
substances (TBARS) could be detected.
However, when subjects were fed a highly oxidized oil, the conjugated diene
content in chylomicrons was increased
4.7-fold to 46 +/- 5.63 nmol/mumol triglyceride, with 0.140 +/- 0.03 nmol
TBARS/mumol triglyceride.
When subjects were fed medium-oxidized oil, the degree of oxidation of the
chylomicron lipids was moderately increased
(21.86 +/- 2.03 nmol conjugated dienes/mumol triglyceride).
Additionally, we found that chylomicrons isolated after ingestion of oxidized
oil were more susceptible to CuSO4
oxidation than chylomicrons isolated after ingestion of the control oil.
The lag time for oxidation decreased from 4.30 +/- 0.40 to 3.24 +/- 0.51 hours
(P < .05). [****They were much more
easily oxidized by free radicals and thus may increase the rate of occurrence of

Influence of human obesity on the metabolic fate of dietary long- and medium-chain triacylglycerols.

2007-07-26 03:10:46

Hi All,
Interesting paper showing that in over weight folks, long chain fatty acids are
not used so much for energy and are
instead stored as fat. However medium chain fatty acids (such as you get in
virgin coconut oil) are still burnt easily
for fuel and not stored as fat.
Thus for overweight folks, moving oil and fat intake away from veggie oils,
margarine, butter, animal fat with their
almost 100 % long chains to coconut oil and its 65 % medium and short chains
will allow these dietary calories to be
burnt for fuel and not stored as ever increasing fat.

The metabolic fate of an oral long-chain-triacylglycerol (LCT) load and of a
mixed oral LCT and
medium-chain-triacylglycerol (MCT) load was followed for 6 h in eight control
and eight obese subjects with normal
postabsorptive triacylglycerol concentrations.
Labeled triacylglycerol and indirect calorimetry were used.
Results showed that LCTs were less oxidized [burnt for fuel..gw] in obese than
in control subjects (3.2+/-0.5 compared
with 6.0+/-0.4 g, P < 0.01).
Moreover, the amount of LCT oxidized was negatively correlated with fat mass (r
= -0.77, P < 0.01). [the more stored fat
the less long chains are burnt..gw]
Appearance in plasma of dietary triacyglycerol-derived long-chain fatty acids
was blunted in obese subjects and it was
negatively related to fat mass (r = -0.84, P < 0.01) and positively to LCT
oxidation (r = 0.70, P < 0.01).
On the contrary, MCT oxidation was not altered in obese subjects compared with
control subjects.
Furthermore, the proportion of MCTs oxidized was higher in both groups compared
with LCTs (x+/-SEM: 57.5+/-2.6% compared
with 15.2+/-1.6%, P < 0.01, n = 16).
Our conclusion is that obesity is associated with a defect in the oxidation of
dietary LCTs probably related to an
excessive uptake by the adipose tissue of meal-derived long-chain fatty acids.
MCTs, the oxidation of which is not
altered in obesity, could therefore be of interest in the dietary treatment of
obesity.

Cliff Beckwith <spinner@...

Hi,
There are different websites now having to do with the Budwig diet ideas.
This one gives thoughts on why the sulfur based protein must be used with
the cottage cheese.
Anyone is free to gamble with their lives anyway they wish to. I was warned
years ago that FO/CC was very bad for Prostate cancer, for example.
However, before I heard the warning, I had been using it 7 years and had
seen quite a few men respond positively by that time. Had I heard the
warnings at first I would not have used it.
I would have been singing a line of an old song, "I will soon be with the

Dear Mr Beckwith,
Thanks so very much for your kind email response (see below).
Independently I think I answered the question myself. I found the internet
site

where Dr. Dan C. Roehm writes:
" Such oil should be consumed together with foods containing the right
proteins otherwise the oils will have the
OPPOSITE EFFECT, causing more harm than good."

Tape from Cliff

Thank you for that e-mail! Everyone keeps talking about a "tape". Where can I get this tape? Please let me know as soon as you can. My Father has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I started him on FSO and Immunicol about a week ago. CC, we were told, will create to much mucus for him and to keep pushing the vegetable diet. Thanks again.

I just posted to her, in case she don't see this right away..

Miz Judy&Mel Thanks for the info. How can I get in touch with Debbie Hamonic? Also, If I have to, can I just mix FSO with CC in any dosage, or is there a specific amount. My Father has pancreatic cancer and dairy is a very bad thing for him. Please let me know.

Budwig diet website

Hi,
There are different websites now having to do with the Budwig diet ideas.
I would have been singing a line of an old song, "I will soon be with the
angels in that bright and happy land" and there would no list like this in
existence.
However, I won't gamble with my life when I read things like this below.

Subject: Doctor Budwig's Protocol

Here's the "essence " of the "Classic Dr Johanna Budwig" Protocol ...
as far as one researcher (me) can ascertain.
The source is *The Oil Protein Diet Cookbook*. Dr Johanna Budwig, Apple
Publishing Co, ISBN 0-9694272-2-5.
3 DO'S (Apart from buying and reading the book).
*EAT*
Breakfast on *Meusli*. (See recipe below).
Lunch on steamed vegetables with *Spread* (See recipe below). Play up
rice/buckwheat/millet and play down potatoes. Also salad with
*Dressing* or *Mayo*. (See recipes below).
Dine on steamed vegetables with *Spread* (See recipe below). Play up
rice/buckwheat/millet and play down potatoes. Also salad with
*Dressing* or *Mayo* (See recipes below).
Snack on hard cheese and veg dippers (radish, celery, carrot sticks
etc)
when peckish.
Snack on nuts, especially walnuts and brazils.
"Enjoy" at least 100g of *Cream" each day as a drink/dip or whatever
takes your fancy.
*DRINK*
Home made freshly pressed vegetables and fruits all day.
A small glass of Kraut Juice (or buttermilk) morning and evening.
Drink wine at any time from mid-day onwards. Still or sparkling, but
avoid Sulphur Dioxide in the wine [not declared on labels] (So use organic
if possible).
*TAN*
Get in the sun as much as possible to activate the healing effects of
the flax seed oil. Don't use mineral oil based tanning lotions.
---
3 DON'TS
1. If you have cancer try and ... Avoid Chemo, Radiotherapy and surgery
if as this works against "The Classic Dr Johanna Budwig Protocol". The
Chemo & Radio stop the beneficial cellular effects of the oil. Surgery
tends to spread the problem.
2. Avoid butter and other spreads during the illness/recovery period.
Also avoid meat if you can. Avoid added sugar. Naturally occurring sugar
(e.g. honey/sucrose in fruit etc) is OK.
3. Avoid preservatives as these prevent the flax seed oil from
oxygenating the cells and the body. (Read the labels).
THE THREE *PRODUCTS*
*SPREAD* (Oleo-lox)
To be substituted for all fatty spreads, during the illness/recovery
period.
Can be made ahead of time and kept in the fridge.
250g Coconut Oil
1 x small onion - sliced
10 garlic cloves, peeled but left whole
125 ml freshly pressed flax seed oil - very cold.
Fry the onion gently in the coconut oil until slightly brown. (Approximate 15
mins). Add the garlic and fry gently for a further 3 minutes. Strain the
hot mix into the very cold flax seed oil. Cover and keep in the fridge.
Use in place of butter and other fatty spreads.
Linomel (tm)
As a component of Muesli, or as a crunchy sprinkle.
The word Linomel (tm) refers to a process of grinding flax seeds through
honey coated rollers. It's is proprietary to Dr Johanna Budwig.
Make your own by freshly grinding 30ml (2 Tablespoons) in a coffee grinder
with a little honey. Dried Milk powder can be used to keep the product
from clumping. Use immediately as the oil in the crushed flax seeds loses
it's potency within 10 minutes.
*MEUSLI*
2 X 15 ml spoons (2 Tablespoons) Cracked Flax Seeds. (Dr Johanna Budwig's
preferred
way of cracking is to use honey coated rollers to prevent oxidation) in
which case the product is referred to as Linomel (tm).
5 x 15 mls spoons (5 Tablespoons) rolled oats.
5 x 15 ml spoons (4 Tablespoons) fresh fruit.
1 helping *Cream* (See recipe).
1 x Tablespoon Honey.
Mix cracked flax seeds with oats, top with fruit and top this with *Cream"
and top this with honey. Eat for breakfast, or as a snack at any time.
*CREAM* (Flax Seed Oil/Protein Mix) The Essence of The Classic Dr Johanna
Budwig Protocol
Must always be made freshly for each meal/snack.
1 day's ration.
(There's a bit of debate here about whether you need to take this all at
once or can phase it throughout the day. Take less if you're light weight,
and more if you're heavier).
5 x 15 ml spoons freshly pressed flax seed oil. (Only use a good
supplier).
100g Dense Cultured Milk Protein e.g. Quark, cottage cheese, strained very
low fat yoghurt, very low fat cream cheese.
2 x 15 ml spoons (2 x Tablespoons) Milk
Blend the oil into the milk protein, add a little milk to get the desired
texture.
Use as you would thick cream. Add fruit and more milk to make a shake, or
add savoury things to make a dip/spread. Don't heat. If you don't like
the flavor of the flax seed oil your supply may be rancid, make sure it's
freshly pressed. And if you still don't like the flavour, then serve it
very cold ... cold kills taste!
Eat at least 1 helping per day. Step up to 3 helpings if you can. There
is no maximum!
*MAYO*
1 helping
Make fresh each time.
2 x 15 ml spoons (2 Tablespoons) freshly pressed flax seed oil (Only use a
good supplier).
2 x 15 mls spoons (2 Tablespoons) Dense Cultured Milk Prdotein e.g. Quark,
cottage cheese, strained very low fat yoghurt, very low fat cream cheese.
2 x 15 ml spoons (2 Tablespoons) freshly squeezed lemon juice/lime juice or
cider vinegar.
Season with mustard/herbs/salt to taste.
*DRESSING*
1 helping
1 x 15 ml spoon (2 tablespoons) freshly pressed flax seed oil (Only use a
good supplier).
1 x 15 ml spoon (2 Tablespoons) Dense Cultured Milk Prdotein e.g. Quark,
cottage cheese, strained very low fat yoghurt, very low fat cream cheese.
1 x 15 ml spoon (2 Tablespoons) freshly squeezed lemon juice/lime juice or
cider vinegar.
Thin with milk to get a dressing texture.
Season with mustard/herbs/salt.

From Flax List

Cliff,
Thanks once more for bringing stories of learning and of hope to us.
Betsy's story is very similar to my own, except that I was in a
serious wasting syndrome and was fortunate to start eating the flax
oil, flaxseed, and yogurt combination with acidophilus/bifidux (this
for repairing the gastrointestinal system so I could absorb
nutrients)-- was not aware of any cancer at that time, and had never
read or heard of Dr. Budwig's work.
After being on the combination twice a day for about 3 years, and
reversing the wasting syndrome, and finally looking very, very
healthy once more, it was accidentally discovered (starting with
simple neck x-rays that showed serious problems) that I had
widespread "metastatic bone lesions" throughout my body, as well
as "liver lesions."
An intensive search was begun to find the source of these lesions.
After 4 months of not finding a source, about November 1 of 2000, we
adjourned the search, and would again do the bone and liver scans in
January to see which direction things were going. The bone scans
showed improvement; the liver scan was clear.
Since then -- for a whole year now -- I've continued what I had been
doing. My oncologist also called me her "mystery patient," saying
that this rarely ever happened in someone with radiological findings
like mine. If the condition progresses, instead of getting better,
I'm afraid my diagnosis will logically be bone cancer also. So you
can see how important this type of feedback (as in Betsy's case) is
very valuable for myself and others.
Again, Cliff, many thanks,
bg

Pleasant Tasting is from what I have read..And of course everyone is out to sell a bottle of it on web-pages.Your health and lifestyle may make the outcomes different for you. Betsy

2007-07-22 00:47:31

This originally came from a friend of mine.
Betsy is a friend of ours, in her 70s I suppose. She has multiple myeloma, a
very deadly kind of bone cancer, and is being treated by the same
oncologist I go to.
We saw Betsy a couple weeks ago. She's bright eyed and bushy tailed...her
old self. She mentioned that Dr. had recently told her she was his
"miracle patient".
This spring I had heard about Betsy's situation. It was greatly different
from what it is today. She was extremely sick and unable to eat. She could
only lie in bed and was just wasting away. Her husband, Don, thought she was
dying. He may have been right. It had taken a long time for her doctors to
diagnose an obviously deteriorating health condition as multiple myeloma, so
that it was quite an advanced case before she was referred to Dr.-------,
as I understand it. I believe she had recently been started on chemotherapy
by -------- a little before I learned what was happening. But no matter how
good
his treatment might have been, if she couldn't eat she wasn't going to get
better.
I went down to --------- and bought a pint of Barlean's lignan rich flaxseed
oil, some low-fat cottage cheese, a pineapple and some honey, and took it
over to Don.
Don made Betsy a smoothie, using some of the pineapple to cover the taste of
the oil. A little later I learned that Betsy had called the smoothie
"delicious food". She could eat it! Later still, I heard that Betsy likes
tuna fish in her flaxseed oil and cottage cheese smoothies, instead of the
pineapple. You can use anything in the smoothies to make them taste good to
you. In the meantime, Don had ordered some of the oil direct from Barlean's.
If you're a cancer patient it's sold to you at wholesale and costs about
half as much as at

Oil protein Diet..a quote...

Hi...been reading for a while and using the Fo/cc
protocol for my leukemia/lymphoma...would like a bit
of reaction to this quote on page vi of the oil
protien diet cookbook..."Quark: is a cultured low or
non-fat dairy product (similar to Yougurt or Cottage
cheese) widely distributed throughtout Europle but
relatively more difficult to find in North America.
Quark, Yougurt, Cotage Cheese or Skim Milk contains
plentiful amounts of sulpher-rich proteins which work
co-operatively with Essential Fatty Acids found in
Flax Oil. Dr. Budwig recommends Hight Quality Dairy
Products -like those found in Natural Health Food
Stores"...is it fair to say that cottage cheese is one
of the options when combining flax oil with
protien?...also...has anyone used the yeast flakes and
yeast paste that Dr. Budwig talks about...bought some
yeast flakes today...and they are tasty in soup...and
on cottage cheese....any nutritional thoughts on the
yeast would be appreciated...thanks...bob

Good stuff

Hi Ellis & Alastair
It is not a matter of replacing Flax Oil. But saturated fats are
synergistic with
unsaturated fats to make both work well. Both Dr. Joanna Budwig and Dr.
Mary
Enig (which are leading authorities on fats) recommend coconut oil as
beneficial
and works with the ESSENTIAL Fats Omega 3 - Omega 6. It only takes 1 - 3
tablespoons of coconut oil per day (not much), can be used like butter or
for
cooking.
I remember the advertisements from the 40's and 50's about
using "heart friendly" hydrogenated margarine's and knocking butter
coconut oils and lard.
Advertising really works! People would rather take a drug that will
eventually destroy their liver than have to do any "sweaty exercises"
= they spend billions $$$ on such drugs every year.
Remember Phen Phen and Redux - they just acted (killed) quicker.
If you care about your health you must study the whole picture
and sort through the "BS" that pervades the internet. The vast majority
of web sites will say what you believe - but there are jewels of truth out
there. More sites are beginning to tell the dangers of hydrogenated oils
but not enough yet. Remember almost all vegetable oils are hydrogenated
and will quickly turn to TRANS fats. One site of many:
http://www.healthcastle.com/trans_scam.shtml
The insidious hydrogenated oils will also carry into your cells
nickel and aluminum from their processing. Leading to ALL diseases
including Alzheimer's.
Your cells have to feed on essential fats for their integrity
and if all you will provide for them is hydrogenated oils - they will
attempt to use them and eventually crash your immune system.
The greatest killer is heart disease which is also a product
of the alien man made hydrogenated oils. To the body they are alien
and form deposits because they are not real foods but man made plastics.

Hi,
This is the invitation I am currently sending out to any new contacts that I
recieve.
Cliff
HI,
On Dec. 22, 1999 a group was set up by Dr. Jim Basile to discuss the value
of Flaxseed Oil in connection with general health.
The main emphasis involved its use with sulfur based proteins for cancer.
There were only 3 rules: Be civil, stay on topic and do not post for
personal financial gain.

Lists

2007-07-20 05:23:36

Hi,
The doctor who began the list, and without whom we would not have any list
today, is still here. However, going back to the old address just isn't
feasable.
There are folks who are happy to and interested in results from the Budwig
protocol. They are interested only in what is happening to people using
Flaxseed Oil.
They don't have time for or interest in a lot of the messages that
inevitabley become part of lists like this.
Therefore folks can be on the FlaxOil list and not be bothered with all
that. I can put any testimonials from the Flax 2 list on there myself. The
rest we don't want on there.
For those wishing to remain on there, no problem. If members of the Flax 2
list unsubscribe from Flax Oil list you won't miss anything. I will watch
both of them and put the good stuff on both lists.
It will help more people because there will be those who join a list with a
lot fewer messages. Things are evolving and this should be helpful.

Changing over to NO Mial

2007-07-19 22:49:04

Thanks Starris: I done this and feel now better about it too. But am wondering still if we could get everyone to just sign out of that group, and come on over to the second flaxseed 2, wouldn't we all still be better off? Or maybe Cliff wants to keep the old just for certain subjects as suggested???? By the eh way, don't anybody know where this Doctor that started the first group practice ( office ) that he could be told he needs to upgrade the list. Certainly he would still have his old name to go back in there and clean up the mess he left behind?

Miz Judy

I went "no mail" on flaxoil. That way I'm still a member but don't get
double posts. If I hear about anything important there, I can easily read it
in the archives.

Help for pancreatic cancer

2007-07-19 08:57:57

To Charles Shutford

Dear Charles,

I believe, but I am not certain, that pancreatic cancer has been successfully treated by Saul Pressman --- using cleansings, nutritional support like FSO/CC, aloe vera, etc., plus some critically important intensive ozone therapy protocols. (See PS below for more detail.)

Re: [FlaxSeedOil2] Flaxseed Oil - a Drying oil?

2007-07-18 19:17:55

The oil must be boiled to give it the drying effect used in painting.

Re: flaxseed

2007-07-18 18:51:36

Miz Judy,
there are some yellow flax varieties that have almost no LNA (C18:3
or omega 3) content left. They would likely not be sold in HF
stores, but it is good to be on the alert and ask.
"Proven Seed and UGG have been the first to introduce Linola
varieties to western Canada. Linola is a low-linolenic, edible flax
(Solin) product that is in high demand by margarine processors,
bakers, and oil processors around the world."
http://www.provenseed.com/proven/linola/
EFAs in Linola as compared to regular Flax
Linola: LNA 2%, LA 72% (from web site below)
Regular: LNA 58%, LA 14% (approx., from many sources)
Hopefully this table comes out ok.
Fatty Acid Profile Flax Linola
C16:0 (palmitic)------- 4-9 ----- 6
C18:0 (stearic)-------- 2-4 ----- 4
Total saturates-------- 6-13 ----10
C18:1 (oleic)

Re: [FlaxSeedOil] Inflammation & Cancer

2007-07-18 09:08:15

I've been ranting about this for some time. I scanned the article, but did
see see mention about the link between inflammation and INFECTION. This
information appears to be missing. The bottom line is, infection causes
inflammation in these instances. Taking anti-inflammatories, whether it be
aspirin or whatever, relieves symptoms of infection, but it does not address
the source.....you still have the infection. I believe there will come a
time, just as is with stomach ulcers, when heart disease will first be
treated by checking for infection. In fact, I am willing to bet that in the
near future, chronic infections in your lungs, joints and urinary system
will be shown to increase your chances of getting a heart attack and then it
needs to be proven that taking antibiotics (I prefer natural methods) for
these conditions helps to prevent heart attacks.
Here's the problem. Doctors will not give abx for an infection for heart
disease, as discussed in the article. Someday maybe, but the medical
mainstream is slow to respond. It took 13 years before it was officially
accepted that H Pylori (one of several) causes stomach ulcers, yet it was
proven in 1983.
I believe there is no such thing as "auto-immune" disease. The immune
system doesn't attack itself for no good reason. In the referenced article,
it is suggested to take aspirin or Gingko Biloba for instance for
inflammation of the arterial walls. It's no mystery why aspirin it is said
helps to reduce heart attacks. It is anti-inflammatory. Infection causes
inflammation. Aspirin (which can increase incidence of stroke) also acts as
a blood thinner, ditto Gingko. Infection causes clotting. See the
relationship? Yet, the infection is still there, doing the damage. It is
virtually impossible to isolate each and every pathogen responsible for each
and every condition. There are literally hundreds if not thousands of
variants. Add to that fungus, which the medical community is admittingly
(hopefully) ignorant of, and you have a whole other subject.
For me, I will take natural anti-microbials such as grapefruit seed
extract, colloidal silver, etc. They can be taken long term, have no ill
side effects (despite what the anti CS nabobs say), and kill bacteria in
very low MIC. I cannot prove anything, but my father took GSE (among others)
for over 2 years, and along with an agressive supplement program, beat back
his heart disease. My mother is going on her third year. Neither took abx
during that period. Nobody has in my family.
With that said, you may be asking how this relates to flaxoil and cancer?
Simple. It is known that certain infections do cause cancer. In decades
past, the idea that a virus caused cancer was scoffed at. Now, there are 5
proven to cause cancer (ex. HPV). So, it is my opinion to further prevent
cancer, one needs to rid the body of potential cancer causing agents, among
them being fungus, pathogenic bacteria and viruses. Oh, and mycoplasma is
newest kid on the block....very dangerous indeed. I also think that if
checked, tumors will show to be loaded with bacteria etc. It seems someone
has done this, but don't recall the source.
In conclusion, I believe it is wise to take certain natural components
that are known to be destructive against harmful pathogens. This may be one
of the biggest steps of preventing cancer and many other diseases. The
reason? These parasites leach the body of vital nutrients, or prevent the
body from absorbing nutrients. Not that our diets are bad enough, but using
therapeutic nutrition, is it possible we are only replacing what is stripped
of the body? Just my 2 cents.

Flaxseed Oil - a Drying oil?

2007-07-18 02:17:51

Hi All
Does anyone know if Flaxseed Oil is a Drying Oil??
I know one of the qualities of Linseed oil in painting
is that it will Dry!
If this happens inside our bodies = then maybe it
would be wise to also use a non-drying oil like cod liver
oil?!?!? Besides change is good to keep our bodies from
getting to use to any one thing - thereby building immunity
to it.

Re: Flaxseed Oil - a Drying oil?

2007-07-18 01:24:02

Rick,
strictly speaking linseed oil can dry.
The linseed oil you find in oil paints is hopelessly rancid and
totally unfit for human consumption, but yes, raw linseed oil will
dry eventually if exposed to dry air. It will take days. If it is
closed off it may form a skin on top after weeks or months. Boiled
linseed oil has a drying agent added to it and it will dry in about
24 hrs to the touch. When some of your fresh linseed oil that you
bought for food turns rancid, you can use it for painting in
artist's or or other oil paints, not in latex, acrylic or any kind
of emulsion paints. But don't expect quick drying.
When you eat fresh linseed (flaxseed) oil it gets digested and
undergoes biochemical changes before it even has half a chance to
dry. In any case it would be too moist for it to dry. What you have
left is no longer linseed oil but constituents of it. So you don't
have to worry about it drying inside of you. It wont happen.

Flax Your Way to Better Health

Father

2007-07-17 15:12:12

Hi Jamie,

If you try to listen to all the people who claim to know what people with cancer should do. you will go crazy. Most of these people are doctors, with their unproven theories, those quoting such doctors or those who believe what they think is best for them is also what is best for others.

Show me those with pancreatic cancer who have given up all animal fats and lived! That's what I would say to those who advise against the intake cottage cheese. And that goes for all who take the Companion Nutrients to avoid the evils of dairy. If their live was on the line. maybe they would see things differently.

Some here may wonder why I have an attitude. I'll tell you why... my mother died a couple of years ago from pancreatic cancer. Why? Because I listened to the "good" doctors and trusted them when they said it was too late.

I didn't go on the Internet and do research and learn about possible alternatives. Despite being into alternative health for many years, I waited until I had the problem to do such research and investigation. I will regret that decision forever.

I have since spent the better part of a year, 50+ hours weekly, on the Internet and elsewhere researching cancer and alternative cancer treatments. Suffice it to say, if I knew then what I know now, my mother would have been taking FO/CC daily!!!

A very strict diet can help many cancers but it must be very, very strict when used alone. I would encourage a dramatic change in diet, stressing fresh fruits and fresh vegetables, but as Cliff stated, FO/CC is the big gun! In addition, I would also be giving her enzyme supplements.

Please excuse the directness or perceived lack of sensitivity of this post. I try to tell it like it is while others here may give you a bunch of more confusing ideas on using Yogurt, eating German foods, using seeds vs. oil or many other views that will simply waste valuable time and may be fatal to your Dad. Unfortunately, unlike many other cancers, with pancreatic cancer, TIME is of the essence!!!

Please feel free to ask any questions here or e-mail me privately, if you prefer.

Regards,

NHY

Subject: flaxseed

I hope this will come in for you to see. Randy got it in yesterdays postal mail, and has no idea how the company even got his name. But there is a www flaxgold.com above you can read all about the seeds. From what I read I don't believe they carry the flaxseed oil.

Anyway we took a bite of this seed enclosed and found it to be very delicious, and nutty flavor. In fact I wished now I had a bagfull to nibble on. I am hanging onto these seeds and want to find a place to grow them out in the flower gardens..but wonder if maybe it will get to enormously huge for anything here in village-living. And wondering if it takes a better hold it I scattter them, or lay so many in a smalll trench?

More questions to ask your oncologist

2007-07-16 14:30:48

Cliff had some good info. It would be good to have the specific
references. These doctors are a stubborn breed, and the igorance(?) is not
limited to cancer. Go right down the list: asthma, Fibromyalgia, otitis
media, arthritis, eye diseases, skin diseases, fungal infections (Candida),
Crohn's/IBS, ADHD, sinusitis (96% are fungal), Hepatitis, RSD, etc. etc.
etc.
All the above have been experienced in my family, or acquaintances and
were failed by conventional methods. They turned to alternative methods
which were successful. When the patient returns to the doctor and he/she is
perplexed as to why the patient is better, it is common the doctor will not
acknowledge what the patient did outside their protocol was the reason. Or,
they just say "keep doing what you're doing" and leave it at that. Ridicule,
skepticism and "you have to be careful with that stuff" is the usual
feedback, which is why most patients don't inform their doctor of what they
are doing. Others are afraid to go against their doctor's wishes. This is a
big problem in older patients. Every move they make MUST be approved by
their doctor. It's decades of brainwashing.
It is frustrating to say the least. And, the propaganda campaign waged
against non-conventional methods is financed by an unlimited supply of
money, much of it at taxpayers expense. When one understands the system is
not based on results, but profit, a light will turn on.
IF YOU ARE PRESENTLY ON CHEMOTHERAPY OR RADIATION, OR ARE CONSIDERING IT,
HERE ARE SOME QUESTIONS YOU MUST ASK THE DOCTOR AND SOME FACTS YOU SHOULD
KNOW.
1. Ask him if the Chemo can cause additional cancers to develop in your
body? And what side effects can occur.
AFTER he answers you..ask him for a COMPLETE list of side effects and also
ask him for the documentation supplied by the manufacturer of the chemo
drugs he intends to use on you. He MUST supply this to you because it
contains ALL of the side effects of the Chemo he intends to pump into you.
Your life depends on this information, GET IT. This is called INFORMED
CONSENT, you must be made AWARE of ALL possible problems including the real
possibility of developing other FATAL CANCERS or DEATH, as a direct result
of the CHEMO..Compare this information with what your doctor told you
2. Tell the doctor that you would like to be taken to the Chemo ward to see
the patients, you will be shocked. Ask him what the Chemo will do to your
Quality of Life.
3. He will try to use the word Cure or Possible Cure as much as
possible. Ask for the cure success rates, and ask to speak to some of the
patients on Chemowith YOUR type of Cancer. DO NOT BE RUSHED INTO CHEMO,
YOU HAVE TIME TO THINK ABOUT IT AND RESEARCH IF YOU REALLY WANT IT.
4. Ask him if there is ANY OTHER way to treat your cancer and are there ANY
other OPTIONS..keeping in mind your option to Alternative Herbs and
Minerals
5. Ask him, if you choose Alternative help, if you can count on him to help
you as your doctor. Most doctors will drop you as a patient. This is
illegal for him to do but many doctors drop their patients anyway. If he
was really concerned about your well being he would work with you no matter
what.
6. If Radiation is the issue, be aware that it can cause cancer to develop
and can also encourage the growth of some cancers. The area where the
radiation is concentrated at cannot be operated on in the future. Burned
skin does NOT heal. If a lifesaving operation in that area is required in
the future you are out of luck Radiation carries some terrible problems
with it, why do you think you are in a lead lined room by yourself? If
X-Rays can cause Cancer think about what this can do when it is thousands of
times stronger???
7. DO NOT SUBMIT to experimental treatment. You are being used as a Human
Laboratory RAT, success is minimal. They get paid as much as $6,000 per
person from drug companies for enlisting persons for these so called trials.
Phase I Trials are to determine what is the maximum dose that can cause
problems such as death and toxicity. Obviously you want to avoid this like
the plague. Researchers will downplay the potential side effects while
emphasizing your chances of being cured, all the while knowing that the
process can kill you before the cancer does. Are the Trials FDA approved???
Many of them are not. You are COMPLETELY at the researchers mercy and if
you die you are just one less test subject. Not a very good feeling.
8. ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINIONALWAYS! Get the second opinion from another
doctor who works out of a different hospital and NEVER, NEVER give the
second doctor the results of the first doctors exam. One doctor will rarely
contradict the findings of anotherespecially in the SAME HOSPITAL. Let the
doctor come up with his own INDEPENDENT opinion.

Has anyyone a copy of this
